An In-Depth Look at VERZUZ & Content Serialization
Nick takes a moment to introduce VERZUZ, the American webcast series created by producers Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. VERZUZ will be the case study for this series to help understand how the market is changing for brands and artists. In this chapter, you’ll also learn what Content Serialization is and why it is important in social media.
Nick explores the importance of brands and artists to Identify & Extend in order to create and maximize channel extension. This chapter also teaches best practices for sponsors to effectively engage in experiential activity.
Using the 4R’s Framework (Reputation, Relevance, Resonance, Recognition), Nick will examine the impact that VERZUZ can have on the respective artists who participate. Nick will answer questions about whether these artists have seen a generational shift as a result of their VERZUZ participation, whether their fan base has expanded, and whether their songs have aged well.
