The alerts at the top of the Wikipedia entry on Netnography say it all:

  • “This article is in need of attention from an expert on the subject.”
  • “This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it.”
  • “Very few or no other articles link to it.”
  • “It may require general cleanup to meet Wikipedia’s quality standards.”
  • As experts and advocates for netnography, we are best equipped to fix all those shortcomings and make the netnography entry much more accurate, comprehensive, useful and informative for Wikipedia users. I’d like to encourage you to read the entry and improve it any way you can.

Frankly, this is a great example of how Wikipedia, with its openly editable model and collaborative approach to content development, is supposed to work. So please, have at it.
