If there’s one thing I learned from last week’s news that Axl Rose was snubbing his induction into the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame, it’s that not everyone who is in the spotlights wants to be there. However, I also can’t help but channel my grandmother and say that this guy’s got some serious, get ready for some Yiddish – “ chutzpah”, behaving like this. The April 14th installment of the Wall Street Journal Sentiment Tracker took a look at the chatter in Facebook and Twitter, and found that 66% of it was from people angry at his ungrateful reaction.  A surprising 31% found it “cool” and 3% took a lighthearted approach, joking about Axl Rose’s decision.  Here are some more of the funny takes from Facebook and Twitter:

Axl Rose asks officials to rescind his tenuous connection to reality.

I believe a headline about Axl Rose’s refusal to be part of the Rock’NRoll Hall of Fame induction is the very definition of a slow news day.

I’m taking the Axl Rose approach to my math test.
